I didn't know that sporty men can also busy themselves with sensa reviews, as well as cooking.. Time has definitely changed. People have evolved to become flexible about everything. Traditionally, sporty men can only be associated with beautiful women, hard labor, and physical strength. I never imagined that someone who plays soccer and skates can also cook and bake, and become so engrossed at reading health and wellness reviews and information.. Not to mention, take on a girly job.. Unimaginable! But it is now the reality for some..

Knowing that just makes me smile. No more chauvinists and lots more gentleness.. Well, the world needs more of that...

Sleeping Patterns

My cousin is inviting me to go for three rounds around Mambajao so we do not have to use slimvox. Well, I know how important losing weight is for her, and I do understand her concern. But thing is, I am still about to sleep when she wakes up and starts jogging.. I wonder how I am going to change my sleeping pattern.. There are already lots of scientific studies conducted that states that sleeping between ten in the evening and six in the morning is healthy. And those who don't will have to endure some form of illness and some cancers..

Well, I am going to change said sleeping patterns.. But right now, I still find it difficult..

Summer Sports League and BSP Camping in Camiguin

Last week, the Summer Sports League have opened here in Camiguin and since we are staying just a block away, we can here all the excitement at the Camiguin Gymnasium every evening. I think that is the reason why most of Camiguin's streets are quite silent, but that where the gymnasium is, is quite a festive site.. Also, we have seen tents hitched at the school grounds, and we learned that they are participants for the Boys Scouts of the Philippines Camping... Well, that is quite a busy summer for people here in the island.. Also, since PANAAD 2011 is near, people have also started clean up of their backyards and streets... By Holy Week, local and foreign tourists shall flock the island for a two or three day walk around the island or at walk way--- I wonder if we shall be joining the festive crowd..

Being Safe

0 leaps and a turtle dive
The streets in Camiguin are quite narrow, and motorists here are always careful with the way they drive and how they move along.. Even huge trucks and personal vehicles do... I bet they wouldn't need the services of a lawyer, like that of a Texas truck accident lawyer here in the island.. But of course, it always helps to be careful when crossing the road or when hiking along... With Lili and River, as we move, they are often made to walk on the safe side of the road each time.  The two are always reminded to switch places every time they stand or walk on the danger side. And at this early point of their lives, they know why.. And I am happy that they are cooperative enough to stay safe as possible, at all time..

How about you? Do you teach your kids these simple precautions too?

D for "Duongan"

This is perhaps the most beautiful sunset Lili and I have seen.. One do not need an ampoule detecteur presence while the sun is setting like this, as it is too much a glare.. Even an ampoule led or a regular ampoule can not match how bright the sky was that afternoon... I felt really happy seeing the sun set while I was standing by the seashore in Pangyawan last Saturday...

By the way, this post is my entry for this week's meme:

As you can see, the sea shore is also where the fishermen kept all their fishing boats or "banka".. In other terms, duongan means, "dungu-anan".. Fresh fishes are sold right after the fishing boats have docked and buyers buy them really cheap, and fresh...

Enjoying Our Stay

While staying here in Camiguin, I thought a car rental is necessary, but we have gone around hiring friendly tricycle drivers and their vehicles for three hundred or four hundred pesos only. To go around Camiguin, you can also hire a multicab for a thousand and two hundred pesos... But of course, in some cases, you can easily commute around for regular fare. Like, we went to Ardent Hot Spring and hired a motorela to take us to and fro for just P 300. But others will be charged P 400, depending on the place you are from..

We went their at around eight in the evening and were fetched at around ten thirty. Of course, we paid the driver after we were brought home.. By the way, when coming here, while at Benoni, a lot of drivers will swarm over you to ask you to hire them. If you know where you are going, you need not hire them instantly. But if you do not know where you should go, and you have not booked in any of the island's hotels, you can take a van, pay on a per head basis, or hire a multicab for a thousand and more... Jeepneys are also available, and ultimately are cheaper...

Of course, when you have reached your specific destination, like Mambajao or any other municipalities, every destination is just walking distance... sweet!

For inter island transfers, you can take a pump boat for four hundred pesos only, or hire a fisherman for less.. In case you know some friends who own them, you can go ahead and just buy fuel...

If you own your own ride, you will be spending some extra fare at the ferry, but you will have a grand time going around the island with your own ride, at any time of the day, or night... Oh, and if you are looking for a ride, you may visit www.comparecarrentals.com.. Hope that helps..

Are you looking for a job? Well this woman is NOT. She was the vendor who sold Empanadas and Fresh Lumpia at the Balbagon Port. we chanced upon her when we went to Bohol last Thursday, on our way going to Cebu for our Simala pilgrimage.
And you know what? She sells really delicious Empanadas and Fresh Lumpia with really tasty sauce in it..
See what I mean....
When she arrived, the foodies she sold were yet warm and so we ate them and even bought some more to take with us in our journey... When we arrived in Cebu, it was already eight in the evening, as we settled at our pension house... We had a Chicken and Pizza dinner at Da Vinci's and well, found out that we still had three Empanadas later that evening, so we ate them..and OMG! They were still crunchy, imagine that!

Anyway, this post is my entry for Food Trip Friday and Yummy Sunday.... For more of each meme, click on the badges below:

The Couple

Such a sweet couple, holding each other was they came and went to visit the Virgin Mary in Simala, last Friday.. Well, at their age, they didn't have to be bothered by trivial matters or even finding the best remedy for skin or even finding the best progesterone cream. I guess it comes with age, when people start to find that solemn place and even seek God... The older, the more mature, the ones seeking a peaceful refuge...

Anyway, my sister and I found them really adorable to look at, so we took the photo.. It's such a pity, we were not able to get the close up... Of course, that was not what we went there for, so we headed towards the shrine.. I love the place.. I love the peace.. Could it be that I am getting old too? Well, with age comes wisdom, as the saying goes, so yeah.. I think I am... hehehe

Some Kind of Sporty Life

I do not believe that sporty guys do not smoke. I know of someone who likes monte cristo cigars, as well as all other local cigars and cigarettes... I also do not believe that all sporty guys eat healthy.. My golly, a friend of mine eats pork fat like there's no tomorrow, and drinks beer and hard liquor like it's water.. But of course, there are some who are truly disciplined to the sport they have committed as well as the proper diet to boost their healthy lifestyle.. That is why they are NOT only lean and healthy.. They are energetic and full of life.. Ah..

My baby brother graduated together with my daughter from the same school and level.. While daughter got academic Excellence, my brother was given an award "Merit for Effort".. I am proud of my little brother for this accomplishment...

Unfortunately, a bully in the other class rudely grabbed his medal at the end of the program.. That is when I realized that "Merit for Effort" may be the fourth and the last level of awards, still other kids have none, like that bully of course.. I explained to my brother that bullies act because they sometimes envy for things they do not have.. The medal is now fixed and is ready for framing..
