Virgille wants me to purchase a cutesy phone at SM that is built with htc sense. Everyone is raving about it and so it is usually out of stock. In Singapore, people are also raving about iPhone4 that everywhere you go, even taxi drivers own one. Costs more if you buy in the shops and malls, but online, you can get it for only $800-$900. For people who have lots of cash or credit to spare, they can afford to give them away. But for others, it takes years to even own the simplest gadget.
But with technology and all, rich or poor, phones have become a necessity as most apps are usually helpful in daily life. At least that was what the taxi driver in Singapore said.
