The streets are now cleaner than the previous months. I think the garbage truck with the trash pump is now going rounds again. Or at least it's what I see here in our street. The previous months, especially after Sendong hit the city, it was totally dirty. Garbage was everywhere. But last night, when we went home, we were quite amazed to see that the street on which we live has come to a wonderful display of cleanliness.
It is quite amazing how people have bonded together for a cleaner city. I was told that in some barangays, people clean their areas as a group, and while others have volunteered to help too, many had the initiative to go to the streets and do the clean up even when it's no longer their area..
