 When I was about to graduate from college, I started learning Nihonggo.. I wanted to speak the language and converse with those who know the language..  So I bought myself books.. They were of course a bit pricey for a student like me.. 

Good thing, my Tito Ben and Tita Gin gave me the learning tool above.. No CDs yet during my time, so it was a tape that I had to listen to--- I did learn the language, but I had no one to converse with.. It takes practice to be fluent at any language..

Retaso made into dresses and pants for a Barbie Doll.. Retaso are waste clothing materials from a seamstress.. These I have asked from our seamstress whenever I have her make something.. 

 I think I was in grade school, about Grade 6 or already in 1st year High school when I did these..

 Messy and crooked because I do not know how to sew.. hahaha

 But they still look okay when put together at play..

This is another fun run that will be held in my city.. Whew.. Lots of them these days.. I think it is because the participants can have fun and have lots of exercise this way.. For those who find running a bore, then doing it with lots of people makes it more enjoyable.. I think..

This is another fun run that happened in Cagayan de Oro City yesterday, June 26, 2011 at the Divisoria Kiosk, Cagayan de Oro City with event distances of  2K walk and Kiddie Run, 5k run. The participants, each represented their own barangays from all over Cagayan de Oro City.. This was truly successful as there were many participants, even from far barangays as Bugo, and not just those living nearby..

This is another JuanRUN Production with a registration of just P 50.00. I am sure that during the registration period at the Smart Business Center, Limketkai Mall on June 15 to 25th, people were really excited already...

June 21, 2011 was a date marked in every skaters' calendar as it is the world's celebration of GO Skateboarding Day 2011... I wonder if we have had some events prior to this worldwide phenomenon here in Cagayan de Oro City. We used to have skateboarding contests at SM Cagayan de Oro but now, I am not sure.. 

Anyhow, I hope you guys had a blast for GO Skateboarding Day 2011...

A friend of mine recently took on payday loans online and was given instant approval. Perhaps it is because his employer online has been his employer for the past six years, and counting. I heard that some kids are doing some kind of a car race during midnight at Masterson Road, just a few kilometers from SM Cagayan de Oro. And I wonder if they are even licensed drivers, if their cars have garmin nuvi gps, or if they were evet permitted by their parents to take the car for a spin..Too bad if answers to all questions are negative. Apart from what will happen to their respective vehicles, I worry about what will happen to the said kids.. And I thought it was all over ten years ago.. Now drag racing is back??? Hmmm..

So every now and then, people are into the Fun Run events and activities for fund raising. Every so often, the same people join. A friend of mine suggested that An All Women fun Run must be made, instead of the usual heterogeneous kind. Now, I think that would be good for the women's month. But even during the women's month, the fun run was participated by both male and female fun run enthusiasts.. How about a fun run for food lovers, at least that's what someone suggested. It would sure be nice to be getting brownie pops for her after the run--- Don't you think so?

All that luscious heavenly treat.. Ahh..  I would definitely join the run, hahahaha..

I was waiting for my daughter to come out from her class when I saw this at the grade school bulletin board.. I think this is another fun run in CDO that is worth joining.. I wonder if the grade school  PTA will oblige all parents to join.. Oblige is kinda tough, perhaps, encourage? hahaha.. Who knows? I might be seen running...

Scrubs at Work

My sister is preparing her Medical Scrubs for a possible work in a hospital. I think it is some volunteer-ship of some sort, but I am happy and excited for her. Among her scrubs collection, she preferred the pink one with animal print. I am guessing that she will be assigned in a nursery or children's area for her many scrubs speak of where she gets to be assigned. I have yet to see her in Dickies Scrubs, if she wills it, she will buy it.. She just likes scrubs of many different colors and designs.. Working in hospitals, I think this variety of scrubs designs allows the wearer some vanity point and style. At least they do not wear something inappropriate and well, that is good. Right? Wearing scrubs at work is somehow beneficial to both, the health care professional as well as the patient.. It allows comfort and variety of designs and styles of scrubs eliminates boredom. Especially with kids, they love huge cartoon prints and animals and flowers.. I should know, I also wore scrubs when I was yet a SPED teacher.. It was actually nice.. 

I get to keep my Sunday clothes at bay, reserved for special occasions. Business suits and other clothing get their share of preservation too. Hahaha..
