Who among you here have done some Online Betting? I guess that is now the trend in horse races. Most blogs on Horse Racing Tips that I have read, almost always talk about doing the bet online. The process is easier and more energy saving, plus winnings can be claimed automatically.

Here in the Philippines though, I have not read of any horse race where the betting has been done online. Usually, people go to the venue, and have their bets there. Then of course, there's the handler who will take care of everything necessary during the event.

In countries like Australia, United States and UK, I have read that they have that there. What's good too, is that, betting occurs anytime, and no need to go to the venue. I am sure if this will happen here, many gamblers will have their heads and shoulders into the game. Some may just want to try once or twice, but if they get the hang of it, I am sure they will also get addicted.

This is one kind of addiction that should not be. Why? Because it entails money. Some people who get hooked have done the worst by betting all that they have, money, property and soon their dignity. Some debts even arise because of said addiction. Worst, there is really no cure, but a change of lifestyle and habits. If coupled by drinking and womanizing, then it brings the family to the pits of hell. So I think, one must quit before she or he is ahead.

On the other hand, there are people who can readily leave the vice after winning once or twice, and yey for them. It takes a strong will power to resist temptations such as winning more. Yeah, one may win more for a time, but the consequences may just be worst imaginable..

Beauty in the Sand Race

It is said that Cleopatra bathed in milk and honey, that was the reason for her flawless beauty. Well, I read another article that said that Cleopatra used premier dead sea sands as beauty secret. She and her maids would bath there every so often.. Hmm.. I would not say that that is not believable, but since I read other articles talking about the minerals at the Dead Sea, and how the sands can have healing effect on the body as much as the skin, then perhaps it can be true. Anyway, I met a few friends a week ago and they told me that they are planning a much awaited reunion. One of the guys spoke about holding it at the beach, and some games were enumerated. One of the games mentioned was Beauty in the Sand Race. And this is why I remembered the articles I read about Cleopatra. So how do you do this Beauty in the Sand Race? It's actually the same as all races, except that the body and face, limbs and all should be covered in wet sand before attempting to walk towards the pointer and back towards the line of the group. If the sands are shaken off, and some parts of the body losses the sands, then that particular participant must fill the bare part with sand, and only then can he or she move forward towards the pointer.. I think it's rather too tasking, but the rest thought it would be fun, and more pleasant than covering the face, body, limbs and all with black ash.. hehehe

Well, maybe it will be fun..

Watch Out for Raffles

Would you like to win a samsung lcd television? Well, look out for on-going raffles for the Christmas season. I am sure a Samsung LCD television will be one of the many prizes. Why? Well, I heard from someone who works there that three companies have contacted them for discounts as three different raffles shall take place within the city, and most prizes are Samsung products.

hehehehe.. Am I now a spy or what, lol.. Seriously, that first hand information was simply given without even anything in return.  It came out of nowhere even. Let's just say that I always talk when in public transport, and I make friends so easily.. Now, if in case the person was just playing with me, it's not my problem at all as I am not into joining raffles because I never win in any of them. But then again, suppose it were true, then why not try and join so that you can win. Joining contests and raffles doesn't guarantee any winning.. But if you complain of not winning, ask yourself first if you have joined, hahaha..

What To Expect From Now Till Christmas..

The Kagay-an Fiesta is done and so I am expecting that events would soon run towards the celebration of the Halloween in our city. I am guessing more Fun Run and more  trade shows. And this will go on towards Christmas. Of course, there shall be birthdays and anniversaries in between. Perhaps some baby shower invitations, or wedding and many others where celebration is akin to life.

I am happy that some people are into fundraising efforts for the less privileged and gift giving activities are aplenty. It seems that everywhere you look, a group or two is planning some sort of a mid-year give away for our less fortunate brothers and sisters. I just hope there won't be any politics involved.

Manang once said that Christmas is teh happiest time for them at the riverbanks, as there are many sponsors who will go knocking on their doors for gifts and money too.
